On July 7, 2025, the Russia-Ukraine conflict entered a new phase of escalation. In the morning, a series of massive air strikes were launched on Ukrainian cities. At least four people were killed and more than thirty were injured. The main targets were infrastructure, residential areas, and energy facilities. Ukrainian authorities immediately appealed to international partners for support. President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an emergency address, called on the EU and the US to speed up the delivery of air defense systems and increase the production of interceptor drones within Ukraine.
